I did not watch the debate, but looking at headlines on Yahoo, MSN, Drudge and elsewhere it appears even Diehard Dems concede Romney took control early and never let go of the ball.
I've generally seen debates as political sporting events which rarely change anyone's mind. All this does is make Romney supporters a little more comfortable, and Obama supporters more determined to get people out to vote for him. Now the polling begins. The middle is what these politicians clamor for. The "undecideds," how anyone could be undecided at this point is alarming enough about what it says of the voters.
I have to admit it did seem strange Obama picked John Kerry as a debate stand-in. I can't see that choice as a good one that would help any.
I am actually stunned the MSM is roundly declaring Romney the winner. Obama must have been pretty awful to leave him looking as weak as they are this morning.

Skipped the debate. Read a few independent articles this morning.
What I got from it:
*maybe the worst and most boring debate in the history of debates
*obama refused to get mad, fight, or even defend himself from mitts attack-dog approach, and generally useless and inneffectual
*many headlines already accuse mitt of "Blatant dishonesty". - most notably Mitt repeated as fact both the 2009 and 2010 "lies of the year" from politifacts (Death panels, and obamacare being a government take-over)
*the moderator was a useless buffoon
*nobody's mind was changed by this debate
glad I didn't waste my time last night.

From what I saw it looked like Mitt took charge of the whole deal, Obama didnt seem very presidential to me.
Just my take on it, be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I knew it, you libs. (Obama supporters) did EXACTLY as I suspected. YOU DID NOT watch the debate and now you are listening to the Obama biased media spoon fed crap. This IS IMO the problem with this country! YOU won't even take the time to educate yourself about the election so you depend on the media to do it for you.

In the link above is an article from the news media reporting on the Presidential debate mis-steps as reported from factcheck I couldn't find the actual factcheck website but as far as I can tell this is legit. It shows mis-steps on both sides.
