Im aware of what they cost new, and word is that they are not all created equal - sort of like newer Strats.

tHis one is a 1991 model, and plays like butter.
So... Wondering if their are some wheeler-dealers among you that give me a estimate on what it should really be worth.
Pawn shop guitar.

Studio models are less expensive than Standard models. If it's in excellent shape, I would guess it's worth $1,000-1,500.

GT,
There is a pretty wide variance in quality of LP Studio guitars. All have quality hardware and pickups so look to playability and finish. A real player with a top quality sunburst finish might go for $1000 used. A loss leader G.C. special with ugly finish or a guitar that just doesn't play well might go for $500. I have a 2009 and it sounds and plays well but I rarely use it. I'm a Fender guy 98% of the time.

They want 6 something, but might just go in with 5 bills and see if they'll bite.

I got a wine red Studio at a pawn shop a few years back for 350.00 with an original case . It played like butter but was heavy as a couple concrete blocks. So I picked up a 98 Smartwood LP and it weighs only about 2/3 the other did. I love this ax but I need to take it in for a tune up as I've tried to wear it out .

Wine red is one of the low cost finishes but some of them play great. $500-$650w case is a fair price if she speaks to you.

If it has those sh*t greenish white plastic tuners, you best slap some Grovers on that IF YOU EVER EVEN WANT TO GIVE IT AWAY.
