I used to believe drums were just another piece of the machine meant to make the vocals and guitar shine... wow I used to be pretty dumb. I now know, in order for me to form a great rock band, I need a great drummer who clicks with a great bass player. I know you are out there! I'm just a singer/songwriter, but I have learned how much a drummer can help me. There is only so much you can do with canned drums.. I have rock songs and pop songs just yearning for a drummmer. My son is taking drums, but he is 11 and in the sixth grade, at this rate, my songs are gonna be ripe with age before anyone hears them, but I do think a good drummer can really make a difference.
