My girl freind's brothe- in-law , Dennis. I knew him only for a short time.. But We had gotten on great. Every thing that could go wrong with him physically, had went wrong. Diabetes, Kidney failure, Pneumonia, Edema, Heart at 25% capacity... Couldn't breath...was on O2 Three months ago he had all this and was laughing with me about it in the living room... He had no strength to lift himself, but with some help could walk...He was determined to overcome these setbacks... Of course we all knew different (ANd so did he, actually)
Well Today, Liz and I I saw him in the hospital. He was on a ventilator... We stayed for an hour, and left, with the intent to return after a brief dinner.
We got the call an hour later. They had removed him from life support...He had stopped breathing on his own and he had actually passed peacefully. The man no longer has to suffer. I am relieved for him... His wife has been through so much stress, and now she can relax...Its over...
R.I.P. Dennis!

Thanks to everyone! It means a lot.
Man, we're surrounded by so much death. We just have to plow forward with our lives, however we can.
I'm quite certain that we take with us all the love we created and fostered. Living forever might start itself as a simple, wholesome way in which we touched another persons mind, heart or soul. It might then wind up effecting the way the entire world spins for others in the future.
It wont happen without love though.

Sorry for your loss, at least he's not in pain. It's the survivors who feel the pain. Death is the final act of life, and there are no curtain calls.

So soon to have to repeat this scripture, "Blessed in the eyes of the Lord, is the death of His saints."

Sorry for your loss. One of my songs on my first CD, Small Small World, is about the losses we all experience too often these days.
