What's Windsor like?
Have you been to the other side?
Is it similar to Detroit in character, crime rate, etc?

I used to go to Windsor and Canada a lot when my daughter was in a travel hockey league, don't really go much anymore. It's a nice city, crime rate is less than Detroit, it has some nice restaurants and a Caesar's casino. Total nude dancing is allowed in strip clubs, and the drinking age is 19 so a lot of young people go there for that. But it's mostly just a place to pass through on your way to Toronto or Stratford.

I was curious if the Canadian way made a difference or if was cross spillage from Detroit and Windsor essentially making it more like one giant city that happened to occupy two countries - or not.

Don't they also make whiskey there?

In the post-9/11 world there is a lot less cross-pollination between the cities. They are definitely two different cities. The govenor is trying to get a new bridge built between the two cities since the Amabassador is privately owned.

They make Canadian Club in Windor. We used to make Faygo and Vernor's in Detroit, now we just make the most Violent Cities lists.

Nope. The trick is to look scarier than they do. Must of the low-lifes pick on women and old people.
