My brother in law is back in the hospital. Transferred now this early morning to another for Neuro ICU.
Simple truth is he's losing his battle with Cancer. I suspect he'll not be with us long. We really are not "close" as family go, though I love my sister in law like my own.
It hurts some . . .
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green [1] pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest [2] my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. [3]
Thanks in advance.

So . . . Cancer combined with a massive stroke.
They ( very foolishly IMO ) put him on mechanical ventilation against his wishes.
It's not life, it's not death, . . .
The prayers are appreciated.
I'm praying the Lord will take the decisions ( or lack of ) from the family and take this child to peace.
It can be very difficult knowing what I know and unable to convey through the fear.
I'm tired.
Hope y'all are having a blessed holiday.

Sorry for everything that's going on with your bro, George. Thoughts are with you and your family.
My dad went via stroke and cancer at the same time 18 years ago, he just 'gave up' after a few months.
What's happening with your brother should remind everyone to create a 'living will'.

I prayed that the Lords will be done. Hard for one to pray for anything else without knowing what God has in mind.
I believe that the medical industry goes a long way to eek out every dollar they can before someone dies of a terminal disease.
I will pray that the family can accept what is happening and that the Lord comforts them.

Thank you all for your love thoughts and prayers.
He will according to the last information be taken off the vent tomorrow.
If he is able to survive on his own respiratory efforts he will receive Hospice care either in his home or a Hospice facility.
He will be under the care of one of my all time favorite physicians whom used to be in family practice ( and actually delivered one of my four children.
If he is unable to survive on his own respiratory effort he will be under the total care of my most favorite physician.
At the "Eternal Care Center".
Though we are not really close as family, I certainly do not want him to suffer nor linger in limbo.
God's will be done . . . thanks for the reminder Slacker.
