I tried to watch the newer version of this movie with my son the other night. I made it thru about 2/3 and had to throw in the towel. Not sure if it is due to close mindedness but the movie just seemed a lot darker. Jeff Bridges is a great actor and I liked him in most of his other movies.
The original movie seemed a lot more adventurous. Had a lot of beautiful scenery and was Great. Why remake a movie and have it be not as good? Seems like a waste of money to me! We all know Hollywood has no originality to it anymore but its like having a coverband do a song of the original artist and do a VERY POOR JOB!
