Hey everyone.

Yeah, I said I was never coming back It's been what, about 2-3 years?

So let me re-introduce myself by first apologizing for my behavior in the past. I was in a dark place for quite a while in my life and the political and religious threads in this forum had gotten to me. I'm not really trying to make excuses, more than to just explain myself.

After leaving, I tried to wash my hands of those discussions, and still had some difficulties, but eventually discovered my issues were that I was miserable in my job, my marriage, and even my bands, and just life in general. I still have strong beliefs but mostly keep them to myself, and after some practice, learned how to discuss and debate things in a friendly manner vs. arguing and berating.

Since I've been gone, I've moved on to a fantastic job (could still pay better tho!), my band situation has improved greatly, and my marriage has been better than it ever was. We're married 11+ years now, and have been together over 15. I've been involved in charities, I bike, hike, and eat better- lost 40 pounds 2 months ago, and am probably happier than I've been in more than 20 years. My wife tells me that this job changed my life (work for a natural foods company), and I think she's right.

I sincerely apologize to anyone here if I've personally offended you in the past.

I don't remember or care if we ever locked horns, I doubt it. Good to have you back, I usually just stay out of the political rants, or pop in now and then to stir the pot then vacate the premises...yeah I'm an instigator sometimes...

Right now I"m dealing with a scary eye problem, getting ready to move back to Texas, still no music here at all, but planning to change that very soon after the move.

Same band I played guitar with 10 years ago, minus our old band leader, who lost the battle with cancer last summer. We got back in touch when they put together a benefit last summer, and he insisted they find me. So Shane, (Rhythm guitar, keyboards and vocals, and videographer) looked me up and next trip I made they said hey let's record something...We also put together "Life in the Fast Lane" but Shane wasn't happy with his lead vocals, so we still have to work on it some more. Allan, bass player, is still one incredible musician, and still really won't admit it...

So that's what I've been up to since you left...

Glad you are in a better place, dont let this place get you back in that frame of mind, the community here, needs guys like you for your input on music!

I got no demos up right now. I did some recording in a professional studio a while back with one of my projects, but I was extremely disappointed with the outcome. Disgusted might be a better word. lol. Since I wasn't the one financing the EP, my input was over-ruled every time.

Heey, wow you have been gone a long time.

I even sold that dog of a SG while you were gone.

And I can relate to the OVER-RULED comment, "disgusted" is about correct.

Sometimes you just have to go your own way, since people are inherently control possessive. (uggh especially other musicians) lol

HAH That's a KRAMER in my avatar. I'd buy it but they did a limited run and it sold out, they backordered and another run was never completed There's a black quilted model available, but dammit, I want that pink-ish one!

I've been reading up on posts here, and man.. things are downright toxic here.. what the hell happened after I left?

Where's the moderators?? I'm reading stuff that looks like downright physical threats and death wishes.. that's not right. Friendly debate is one thing, we're all going to disagree on sh*t, especially wedge issues (they are called that for a reason), but holy turd on a stick things are nutty in some of those posts!

Anyways, I'm going to be injecting a LOT of music discussion in here over the next few weeks- I've already started adding some comments to posts.

(Least ways I Dont recall seeing your posts from that point on) The toxicity for me... started when some jackass got into my face about one of my songs, and had accused me of not being an American... Since then, I had dealt with my own anger issues...

Now, all I want is world peace...

I wish you would change that avatar. Every thread it is on I find myself staring at it with color envy. If it weren't such a job I would order another Strat body and try to stain it like that.

I have a Metalflake (Large flake) Fusha Strat that is really hot looking, and a Candy Apple Red Strat that is blinding in the sun (Bad pics in my bandmix profile) , but I want that PINK stain now. Hope you can get one.
