Hi Kids!!!! Just Popping in to Say "How"

Are you guys playing nice? Probably not. I know some of y'all are on my FB, so you know what's happening, but some of ya's not.

The book thing took six months of my life and believe me, it was way harder than doing music. Getting people to read it is even harder. I don't care, I enjoyed it. So I'm taking a break and preparing to record the music for the book and work on an EP of my own. Losing my bass player last year through me into a tough depression and I wasn't sure where to go with the band, so I'm heading back to my electronic roots and am going to do the music myself. Cisco will be providing guitar, but that's it. I'm tired of relying on people then losing them to unforeseeable events. Emotionally, I can't take it anymore.

I'll hang for a little bit. I just uploaded this video of me singing Alanis Morissette's "Uninvited" at my company's talent show.

Enjoyed the video.

Don't withdraw from the world because it's hard sometimes.
You'll find it's harder without you.

Hi Chaeya

Good to hear from you.

My fourth attempt at something in two years just fell apart. I'm not letting it get me (tooi) down. I just want to get some work done (sigh).

I was never a great fighter but would always fight. Eventually you start winning. That's the rumor anyway...

Actually, George, I've been very productive. I'm loving this Ableton Live program and now I want the full version. I'm working on beats and programming and playing my Novation Ultranova. Before, I used to be so overwhelmed by all the technical stuff, but now I'm loving it. I'm sort of a computer whiz, so I figured why was I thinking I have to rely on an outside keyboard player?

They have this site called www.sonicacademy.com and they have tutorials - I know you can get most of them free on You Tube, but I love theirs because they have so many.

In my solitude, I realized that I had become too dark perhaps and maybe the Chaeya & The Dark Secret thing wasn't the right way to go. I believe the music industry needs more light right now and more playfulness.

So I have several projects that as soon as I gather up the cash for my program and such, I'm doing:

1. Tales of the Iss-Ka-Mala - which will be a 5-song + bonus song to go with the EP.

2. Tales of the Dark Secret - 5-song EP + bonus to close out my dark phase.

3. Tales of Ev*A*Dream - 5-song EP of storytelling songs.

I'm just gonna have fun with it and make some videos.

Hi Mike, glad to see you!

The family's doing well. Cisco's playing with several bands on the weekends. My oldest daughter's about to turn 16, but I managed to get her a summer job. I think all my hammering about working and making your own money is hitting home, so she's been supporting her Hot Topic habit but fortunately has been managing not to spend every dime. My youngest is in art class, which I will be keeping her in indefinitely. She's learning cartooning and her teacher wants her to start getting her portfolio together. She's creating her own characters and I told her to create her own comics. So thankfully, that front is doing well.

I'm glad to see you all here still!

Hey Chae, I think when you finished singing they were in awe.
Especially when you said so gleefully "Thank You". It was like you
changed into someone else then turned back into Chaeya.

You are as good an entertainer as you are a singer. You are full of
expressive talent. The world needs more of you.

Is that a new body? Lookin good sugar :D [/b]

Thanks, darlin'! Funny, I do feel like I go somewhere else when I sing. Dude, I've been exercising and my job keeps doing these Biggest Loser challenges and because I'm the boss's assistant that means I have to participate. It's good and keeps me accountable. :D
