I took a brand new Printer that after three different systems could not get the wireless installed correctly

1) I called the techies and told them to suck my cock
2) Then I took the printer out to the dumpster and Smashed the living f**k out of it...

Best 200 dollars I ever wasted to get sh*t off my chest...

I feel tons better now

Nope: "Brother"

Actually, HP makes decent printers... and they have improved on some of their laptop models.

The Brother was a piece of sh*t from the get go... I took a chance...and of course i regretted it later... Piece O sh*t ! I'll never buy one of those again!

How f**k hard is it to write a proper install prog for Wireless setup?
And BTW, if you are ever asked to change the settings on your router to accommodate and install network devices ...you should email that company and tell them to sod off!

Probably not that hard ... they're just too cheap to make sure that it works. Actually had a guy in India ask me to check my internet connection, telling me to climb on to my roof to inspect where the wires connect to the house. I said "no way!" they fixed it from their end about 10 minutes later.

sounds like some good healthy therapy.

i've got a piece of crap CARVIN powered mixer that i'd like to "modify" in much the same way. fockers have no idea what it means to stand behind their products. it's maybe ten yrs old and has been back to them twice already (on my shipping dime) and was for the time being put right (for a $50 flat rate).

when i contacted them about all the latest stuff that's not working they told me "sorry, it's too old we won't work on it any more but we WILL give you $75 off the latest version of that mixer". no doubt it's the same P.O.S. circuitry in a new and cheaper case.

yeah...like i'm ever gonna be buying anything else from them!

I find a 12 gauge works extremely well for this type of therapy.

Let's talk about windows 98,,, CAKE WALK, and every A/D converter that they claimed was supported and......
WAS NOT.

I don't use CUBASE any more but if you are using a P.C.,,, Back in 98 it did what it said.

Sometimes the truth only comes out in time. My next big date is 1/20/13.

Glen, Cisco still uses Cakewalk and I have the upgrade Sonar X1. (Sigh) too chicken sh*t to install it because the other one is working fine. Meh, we'll get around to it.

I have bought a good many things that were simply crap. Mainly mother boards. The cure was to put two 2X4's about 8" apart, and then place the MB on top of them and jump in the middle of the 2X4's. Works every time.

I have never had a good reliable HP printer, but HP isn't the only brand of printer that I have grown to dislike.

LOL! You guys are crackin me up... Here, I thought I was the only guy with this little "problem" , (that nobody talks about at the dinner table) Ha ha!

I walked by that dumpster the following morning and saw the carnage...I felt absolutely no remorse...ha hah! But It did remind me to go pick up a new laser jet /copier/fax/etc (HP) Loving it! I can print my fliers from the other room wireless and all

I hate to say this but those little cheap printers for $150 and under really aren't worth it. Even if they work, the toner winds up costing you a fortune that you're better off investing $300 or more.

Since I mainly print CD labels at home, it's better if I just get the whole shebang.

Thank for that link... I been looking for alternatives to outsourcing the jobs...

Right now, at Discmakers, you can get eco packs of 1,000 for like $800, but honestly, unless you're a popular band, you wind up giving away most of those. It's far more economical to print up CDs as you need them. So say you plan on recording 3 CDs, you can print up 100 of each without a big investment. Just print them before the show.

If you want to print a CD insert you can do so through www.gotprint.com - you can get 1,000 full color for $83.00 and with tray card for $186. If you want to go for the CD wallets, I'd just print the entire dimension and cut and glue them myself, which you could print 1,000 for under $100.

Again, this is a better bet for those who are putting out a lot of music. If one's band just pops out a CD once every blue moon, then it's best to just go through a company. You want the printer to pay for itself, but then it just may inspire people to create more music. ;o)

I've done five projects through Discmakers, it's not cheap but the results are outstanding. For everything else I use Avery online for the labels and inserts and burn the Cds myself.

Again Thanks! This is very helpful... I agree about the frequency of use. The 'do it ourselves' pays off if production is aggressive.
