what kind of nonsense is this law? reminds me of the laws in the south during the Reconstruction to keep the black vote stifled...just sayin'..62 cases of voter abuse out of 39,000,000 votes and they decide this stupid law to be needed? really? Republicans up to their old antics again..

I wouldn't mind seeing this for ALL elections. Doesn't matter to me if it's 69 cases or 69,000 cases. And I'm NOT a Republican. What the hell is wrong with proving who you are? When I paid my Best Buy credit card bill today I had to show my picture ID. Voting is an extremely important duty a CITIZEN should do AND validating who everybody is at the ballot box is something that needs to be done regardless of the # of possible abuse cases.

Why would you not want to insure that your election has integrity. Look Bud just because YOUR state ain't on a border with 100's of thousands of illegal gimmegrants crossing your border every year with the agenda of making YOUR state like the sh!thole they left. When a country discovers they can vote people into office that will give them money from the treasury is when a country fails! Take a good look at Spains austerity measures they just enacted today. Basically the same ones that Greece enacted. Thats where we are headed. 49% of the people can't continue to support 51% plus 20 million illegals! Why NOT show an ID? If you're old enough to vote, there is no good reason why you would not have a picture ID of some kind. I know in my town, all you need is a name and address (checked by a little old lady volunteer) and you can vote.

Personally I think it is WAY more RACIST to say black folk can't get an I.D. than it is to ask people for their I.D. to vote. Just sayin!

the law basically forces you to spend money in a roundabout way to vote which should be illegal or unconstitutional.. what's wrong with the way my good state of Missouri does it and mails you a voter registration card which you present to the polling official when you vote?... economically that makes more sense too that is if you want to help with a balanced state budget

and don't quote me on this, but why is there only 5 or was it 6 OFFICIAL photos allowed, why can't a family polaroid snap shot work?.. that should be enough to recognize it's who you say you are? right?... it is something to keep the poorest of the poor from being able to vote.. pure and simple...

if you PHOTO ID REQUIRED law did NOT effect me I would never have brought it up.. but when the law unjustly inhibits poor people from voting for the party of their choice in a NATIONAL election then you safely say, I will stick my nose into TEXAS politics.. I'm just a little self-employed guy so my squawking won't amount to nothing in a rigged system anyhow..
