Barry was bothered by the white walls behind the stage. He shot video that night but he doesn't want to use it because those white walls just took away the lighting effect. next time we play there we'll turn that Lazer around toward the white wall and use it to our advantage. Note to ANYONE building a stage, paint the walls behind the stage BLACK!

Cool pics Jeff. Ditto on the photo sizing!

It's funny you mentioned the white walls. As i was looking through the shots something extra stood out to me.

It was the white walls. It made the place seem more... professional or upscale? I don't know. But I actually liked it. It was different than the typical bar shots you usually see.

John, sending more rain your way! It has been
raining buckets again today. Thats 6 straight days
of HEAVY rain! I can't cut my yard till it dries up!
It's gonna be a rough one if I ever get to mow my grass.

John, did you notice the trusses we have the
lights on. its almost a v shape pretty cool.
It takes about 30 minutes to set the lights up.
We leave the par cans attached everything else
comes off except most of the cableing stays on.
Barry uses 2 laptops one to run sound with and
the other to run the lights. He has some REALLY cool software!

Whatever Barry is doing looks good to me.

I still havent figured out what Im gonna do, might start with a few LEDs for behind us and kinda go from there.

If you look up Chauvet they have these blankets or robes that hang up and will do different patterns and colors, I just havent found a price on them, I thought they would be cool.

Ive actually got a couple of video screens and cameras that I used to set up and play all sorts of weird videos behind us, but after a while I got tired of setting them up, oh and i had this old video camera that i had lined in so when people were dancing I could switch to it with a remote and they could see themselves dancing. The only problem on those things i thought it would increase our value or asking price and ti didnt matter whether we used them or not.

Some times it seems less is more, but our band gets a little into overkill!

Irfan View

http://www.irfanview.com/

Fast, easy, not too big, very good. Free.

Resizes pictures quite well. Won't take 3 years to learn how. I've been a photographer for 30 years, trying to get into it professionally, (I'm good enough) and I use Irfan View almost exclusively. Been using it for years, since the first or second version back in the early 90s.

Get it. Find the resize option. Use it. These are HUGE....I usually go for 1024x768, good web viewing size.

Examples?

www.flickr.com/paleopete

Those all started out twice the size of yours posted here. Most are cropped, but still pretty large. Everything now 1024x768.

Good to see some stage shots though, You and JW have both posted some pretty cool shots lately.
