Vacation days winding down

As I had to use up some days this summer, I took the whole past week off from work.
Did a little music work (band practice last night, starting a new collaboration with Ms Tammy, did some remixing of existing songs, and started working on a couple of new ones), but also got a few long overdue home projects done - adding posts and railings to a small deck I put at the front entrance last fall, and created a firepit off our patio area.

Tomorrow it's off to the American LeMans races at Lime Rock!

Ahhh, Mr. Scott...caught cyber drinking again, I'll have to bring this up with the captain.........

How is Flemington today? Both of my children were born at the hospital in Flemington, NJ, I used to live in High Bridge...I know, who cares...but I think about it every time I see your residence....

but that doesn't mean I'm not reporting you to the captain....LOL!!

You look like you're livin the life right there :D I'd love to build a fire pit, but it would come out looking like stonehenge or something.

Mr. Klugmo,

If you like bugs and cold weather...you will love it!! LOL!!

The pace is slower and that area is very beautiful.

I'm from Pittsburgh, PA, so the New England personality is not to my liking, I find my friends are all transplants here and my greatest dream is to make my way back to Pittsburgh someday.

It is very pretty here and very inspiring and you will be closer to me, and that is a perk all in itself....LOL!!!

Anyhow, goodluck with that decision, I am sure it takes lots of consideration and I am teasing......a bit....LOL!!

Mr. SirJamsalot,

That would be a sight to see....but maybe you could write a song about Mike and his firepit building skills....we can't all be builders and musicians, he's just showing off...LOL!!

About $350 in materials (you could do it for less ... or more) at Lowes and Home Depot (neither one had everything needed), and about 8 hours of solo work (I took my time and did it over 4 non--consecutive days).

It would appear stacked without any mortar ? Did you use any adhesive ?
Or just gravity?
