Found this site while browsing for nothing in particular; thought it'd be cool to network for some like-minded dudes to play music with, found a friend of mine here I'd like to contact - so I signed up. Went through the steps, set up an account, imported a pic - all good. No, wait, to contact anyone or to have them contact you, you must upgragde and "pay up sucker". Not really the free site you all advertise now is it? See ya!!!

See how rude you are to that guy and not just to me? Why can't you guys be a little more considerate to individuals who don't want to spend money on a site just to contact or network with someone? This site MIGHT have the members I'm looking for if it was a fully functional free site.

Why do you guys resort to rude behavior or jokes when soemone with different goals and different music tastes comes along? Just because I'm looking for FREE stuff, doesn't mean I'm cheap. That just means that the person might want to spend his money on something more worthwhile.
That part in bold is a VERY rude thing to say. I'm pretty sure there is a site out there where I might have better luck. I just need to look for things like amateur and intermediate level musicians, rather than those who use the site professionally, or better yet, sites where you can make different kinds of accounts depending on what level of musician a given user is.
Also depending on what features a user can take advantage of when upgrading to a premium/paid version of the site, how much it costs, and if the person finds it promising from the free version, I might be willing to sign up and use the paid version of the site.

And here's another thing. Just because a site is free still doesn't necessarily mean it's good. It's all about the nature of most of the active members on the site and how it's used. For example, in my case, I need to find a site similar to how profiles work here, where you can post music of my playing and stuff) but one that considers most musician levels, including guys like me who play music for enjoyment and are looking for a few individual friends to hang out with and play music with among doing other activities.

What do you think I'm trying to do here through this board? I'm trying to LEARN about what else is out there, by talking to other like-minded members, and share experiences (good and bad) about other websites to try, and physical places to try. What happened to that kind of attitude? Why is the "Go Google it" or "do it yourself" becoming more common now?
What happened to individuals who look out for one another (even online) and who handle conflict better?
I don't hate anybody here, however, I am getting extremely annoyed with how "people" in general react to my request for these special music buddies.

And so I bitch about important things that bug me. Sometimes that CAN be helpful, because it might reach someone who is at least able to relate and thus knows what I'm up against. I like reading about other people's experiences, and love it when people rant about different things that bug him and where and how they went about finding their music buddies. Thus I would be able to use my own wisdom and intelligence to decide from there whether the place in question is a good place to try or not.
Check out SSohPKC on YouTube for an example of a guy who also gets annoyed with "people" on the internet.

Glambert, I now know why Vlad The impaler actually took the time to impale his victims.

Vlad impaled somewhere between ten and twenty thousand Turkish Muslims to let the invaders know that he wasn't playing even a little bit.
When the Sultan pulled into Transylvania the impaled people were style writhing on the stakes. Horrified, the Sultan withdrew his army.
Strange dude, our Vlad. But no one can deny he played to win.

Networking doesn't have to require MONEY. Networking DOES require people to work together, and helps if that person can connect with individuals who have similar goals, and similar music tastes.
Why are people on this site so rude to any new guys on here who are more likely coming here for the same reason I'm coming here? To find a few good friends who are like family who just enjoy playing music together? What happened to individuals who love and respect each other whether or not the person is a professional musician or a person who play music as a hobby?

Yes it does require money. And the sooner you pull your head outayerass the better of you'll be.
