Hey everyone. Hope all is well. I am curious as to what you would classify my music. It sounds like predominantly hip-hop with some rock elements, but I sometimes have a hard time explaining it to others. What would you classify it as? Check my profile page... bandmix.com/thesunmoonsect or here youtube.com/thesunmoonsect

Appreciate anyone taking the time to help me out.

Any tips? Just getting into the music thing. Trying to get better at my instruments primarily. Need a bassist and drummer. Need to write these ideas out instead of just jam and record.

re Tips: I would just say that the vocal delivery could be a tad more precise in certain phrases (Timing wise) and maybe put some compression and strength on the vocal track. The genre is too close to hip Hop style, so to me that's the primary flavor. But you did it very creatively and the work overall has solid structure and potential. And thank you for not writing hater smack....(that stuff has been baked, fried, flipped and served 20 different ways to old school...even for me (a folkie/dolkie song-writer) 8)

Garage-Hip/hop. I assume these were live recordings at a practice session. The vocals sound like we had in my high school band, playing through a couple of old guitar cabinets that had been in a fire then had the melted vinyl stripped off and cheap speakers installed. Of course if you like that sound ...
