if you get the time, please give "Morning Glory" a listen, it is 2 tracks and 2 tracks only! since a psychic vampire was working his mischief behind the scenes in an undisclosed distant location, you will need to excuse certain diabolical tunings used in the production of this devilish piece..listening to this without the proper frame of mind might cause temporary insanity or deafness..enter at your own risk..disclaimer: I am not responsible for your lunatic remarks made concerning this piece of music, blame it on the psychic vampire always on the prowl on these forums..

You sort of ruined all your playing. TUNE THAT THANG!

New strings, set up, careful tuning balanced over the neck area you are playing on.

Your playing was cool but the guitar sounded like something off a dime store music shop wall..

The only reason why I bring that up is because if you are trying to get something "sold" you have to convince your audience.

EG. I've been trying to "shop" one of my songs. Constant reply has been anti fake drums.
Since I replaced them with real drums, I have had 3 very positive comments.

If you want people to believe in you,, you have to lead the way.

TUNE THAT THANG! :)

when the psychic vampire is annihilated, then peace can come to our good land, and all power will be rightfully restored to it's rightful owner..

Duane,

What Glen said. The guitar was so far out of tune with itself it was distracting. (But my ears are sensitive to those things. Unfortunately, I also have a few tracks with guitars that I should have tuned before recording.

I did like the tone that you got out of it, and I liked that it didn't have FX on it. Check the intonation and make sure it is properly set.

Yeah ... try it again. Like the direction and picking mode.
Perhaps with a good clean track you can add some effects too, in order to get the overall feel you seek.

thanks much XhaDoW-6, every review is greatly appreciated! I think by FLASHBACK you mean going back in time kinda sound?.. negative/positive, I like all feedback, and greatly appreciated.. maybe next time I get in the studio when I get a little more cash rounded up, I'll try something different, rural blues or heavy metal! but I will need to turn the saturation and distortion up for heavy metal..LOL

Dane, I got the sense of a delightful picking of music...But Like everybody is saying here, the strings sounded way out of tune and its very distracting...

Sometimes, when I sit down to record, I get so excited about the song that I forget to check the tuning... Not anymore...It's a force of habit with me now...Every track, every re-track, I always tune the strings ... every take...no matter how arduous ...

Any hoo...Cant wait to hear this when your in tune ;)

P>S Liked the slide too...

how can a guy get the tuning straight when the whole creation is caused by a spurious sound vibration?

I like your right hand technique. However you took the old school de-tune thing TOO far LOL! Please tune before you record PLEASE! I know you were trying for an effect you just took it a little too far!

the tuning doesn't sound so bad for front porch folk
I have heard worse.
slide guitar is very much dependent on the ear.
so you have to be a little forgiving to those who want to try it.
I can't do it
but i really never gave it much effort.
