Of what it's like to be booked for gigs very week and some twice / three times a week.

I have to admit the attention feels pretty good.

Yet it's difficult to find time to record and do video.

Just practicing tunes for my new band takes a ton of time. I've dedicated 1 night a week to working on recording - it's tough!

That's great Sans. Playing in front of an audience is a good way to polish up your skills under a little pressure. I know that when I play in front of even one person, I am concentrating far more then when I just play a song for myself. I get a little lax when I'm the only one hearing what my fingers are doing.

I'm sure the surge is mostly seasonal ... I just need the boyz to stay in the saddle till we can shift focus back to "media".

Yeah it would be awesome to have a CD and other merch out at the shows.
But face to face live contact is much more important IMO.

And that seems to be where we are at right now.

i rehearsed a song I want to record with another singer / /guitarist last week and I'll say freely, that session was worth two weeks of playing it by myself.

The guy was good enough that I really had to pay attention. I was quite pleased that he liked the tune. What was fun to see was that he, being an experienced player, got the jist of the song before he learned the chords.

So George - I know what you mean about no time for anything plus some of us are getting close to expiration date. The answer I see is play all we can, get as good as we can and take whatever chances we can without shirking family responsiblites.

Thanks Mike.
Good supportive advice is always welcome.
There is a fine line between making some sacrifices and shirking.
