The guy was good enough that I really had to pay attention. I was quite pleased that he liked the tune. What was fun to see was that he, being an experienced player, got the jist of the song before he learned the chords.
So George - I know what you mean about no time for anything plus some of us are getting close to expiration date. The answer I see is play all we can, get as good as we can and take whatever chances we can without shirking family responsiblites.
