This slow internet is killing me, but I can't see forking over a bunch of cash every month for "slightly" faster service. But it is getting real lonesome not being able to view the vids you guys put up and not even being able to hear the songs at bandmix anymore.

I'm looking into building a Yagi for WiFi since I have several restaurants within 5 blocks that have free WiFi. I can hit them from here, but the signal level is really low. A 17db Yagi should do the trick.

If that doesn't work I guess I'll have to succumb to the rip off phone company that throttles my 56k modem down to 44kbps. They throttle you down on purpose to frustrate you into buying marginally faster service.

I am in the process of loading XP sp3 on a computer with a lan and wireless card in it to see if I can listen to Bandmix musician vids and music. Not sure how it is going to work but I'll know pretty soon. A friend is bringing a parabolic dish over for me to try.

The light at the end of the tunnel? Perhaps. Now I'll have to go buy their overpriced bread and eat their overpriced meals occasionally to clear my conscience if this works. After it is free internet for customers and those who sit in the parking lot with their laptops.

I have an antenna with mild gain hooked up to my card. Only one bar... but it still works. It's a start. At least I can listen to Bandmix members music now, and watch some chattering vids. I hope I can get the strength up to 5 bars with a Yagi.

Funny vid. I used to have a gunnia pig that I caught on my rod & reel. The pig would hide under the bed so I would tie a carrot to my rod and reel and reel him in since he wouldn't let go of the carrot.

Yup. My pirate WiFi worked for a while but it goes through iffy stages of connection. Not so sure it is a rock stable operation, but I believe I am getting a WiFi link from the public school up the hill from me. That is the direction I have to point the parabolic dish. At least I may get some good from my taxes.... other than fostering a generation of brain dead little socialist morons brainwashed through the liberal public fool system.

Sat. night spent on the lake till 2:00am
Caught 4 nice cats, didn't drown and didnt sink the boat. Today I
ate 1/3 of a Pacific salmon,corn on the cobb, green beans bacon and onions
and a pile of Bush's beans and Hawaian rolls.
Pretty good Holiday so far. Taking tomarrow off too and got a
2 day seminar wed.- thurs. so Friday is the only day I work.
