So this past weekend A band was playing at a local bar I never heard of this band But needless to say they were setting up their gear on stage And they were looking pretty legit At first then I noticed them lacking a bass player I was willing to let that slide So then they began to warm up Going through scales and small riffs Here and there The drummer sounded like he was pretty a excellent drummer They did the sound test On the mice everything was sounding legit the band stepped up they introduced themselvesas and I was ready they spit out of the name of the first song they would be playing then BOOM They started playing And out came the most CHEESY Bland lacking of expression Metal I ever did here you would have thought that this band came together and started practicing the day before the show and 1 of the guitar players was jumping around head banging in the music wasn't even that intense I wanted to call shenanigans on them

It sounds like the ol Bait & Switch tactic... I'm guessing they are way new...and are cutting their teeth the hard way? When I see stuff like that, I feel a sense of hope for myself

I often wonder Because this is not the first time this has happened what's the purpose of learning all of those guitar techniques but never learning how to put them together I myself I'm not very good fundamentally but the noises I do you make I can put them together pretty well
