Because I most certainly don't! I think they're terrible! I just thought I'd get a lot of hits with a subject title like that...

Why do you feel a need to insult people to get a lot of hits?

I'm not mad at you, Vocals & Bass, or anybody for that matter. I sure do sound like a pessimist in some of my posts, though...
And that was pretty funny, g!... I felt elated

ha, 14yr old hicks... guess I'm one: only I'm 33yr old hick... that lives in the city. Saw pantera at a small bar back on the cowboys from hell tour. Back then I thought they were phenominal. Cemetary Gates especially. Dimebag was a pretty good guitfiddler. Not my fav band these days... just kinda moved on... feel much the sm way about metallica. Saw 'and justice for all' and thought it was great then.
Anywho, what do they call that... sniping? When you post just to get guys in there and snipe em. Davis... you're a real card! Here's some more ammo: I still like Michael Jackson too. I know, I know. how do you know it's time to go to sleep at the never neverland ranch? when the big hands on the little hand.

I forget the drummers name, but he is considered by many a drummer to be quite good. Admittedly, I'm not so keen on phil ensolmos screaming these days... but it fits perfectly in "love thing", and the guy can actually belt out as a 'regular' vocalist. Not a band I listen to a lot, but every now and then I wanna pretend its the early 90's and bang my head... is that so wrong? speaking of which(banging yer head), remember quiot riot? I'll admit: I like them too!

I was never impressed by Pantera - I think they're pretty pretentious myself. Oh, and I think Metallica is a BIG joke! I somewhat liked Kill 'Em All, and Master Of Puppets is obviously a masterpiece, but I didn't really like anything else. I know people love the 'black album' but to me that's where they became a joke.
If you like Michael Jackson you probably shouldn't make fun of him. I like his music quite a bit, the records Off the Wall and Thriller are amazing. I find all the child-molesting jokes to be moronic. Especially because the people making them certainly have personal traits that could be made fun of as well (if people knew about them). I don't think he molested anyone but he is pretty psycho about things (his self-image, his loss of childhood, Jews...).
And last but not least, Quiet Riot? I think I'm going to vomit...

I know your tastes are too refined for the likes of panterra, metallica, and quiet riot. lol. would have to agree tho, that the black album blows as well as anything else that came after it.
I like mj, but I also like jerry lee lewis, and oj simpson... all were guilty as sin and only there money and fame saved them from what the rest of us would've got... a nice fat prison sentence next to a lifer who want's to play "momma and poppa".
that has little to do with wether they've made good music tho.
moronic: that a hair strong... but I'll let it slide.

I wouldn't call my musical tastes refined... I've always had a very open mind when discovering new music (which means 'old' to me). I know I've become opinionated after filtering out groups that I believe don't have the vision to pull off their art. And I can't stand groups of rip-off artists that come in short-lived phases as pop phenomenons.
About Pantera... they were a huge joke in the '80s before Phil entered the band. And after he did they were still ripping off different pieces of '80s metal. Quiet Riot just plain sucked. They never had any good records, and it takes more than a simple hook (like 'Come On Feel The Noise) to satisfy the depth I look for in an artists work. Plus I just find the whole Hair/Pop-Metal thing to be annoying.
You're right about the $$$ thing... if you have a lot of it you can pretty much get away with anything. I wasn't calling you a moron or anything (I don't know if you took it that way) - I just think all the MJ jokes are lame (and EXTREMELY antiquated by now).
