Just looking for you top 5 list and perhaps some explanations at to why they deserve top 5 status.
1. Elvis Presley - that rythm!
2. John Hiatt -that falsetto!
3. George Jones - phrasing!
4. Elvis Costello - that tone!
5. Bruce Dickinson - vibrato!

I absolutely agree on Burton Cummings.
A lot of people don't realize it, but Jeff Lynne has quite an octave range. Listen to "Moment in Paradise" on Zoom.
Roy Orbison, hands down. Incredible.

Hey Sis, Conway, one of the most versatile artist I believe. Sings low, high, soft, climatic, Maybe my favorite all around vocalist. I cheated!

Named more than five. Its frustrating tyying to name 10 or 20 without knowing your missing so many other greats. Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, David Coverdale OH!

you are right folks... once i saw some posts I realized 5 is too few! david lee roth, warren haynes, neil diamond, barry mantilow, bon scott, randy travis, david bowie, ozzy osbourne, robert plant, don henley, paul simon & art garfunkel, statler bros, neil young, crosbystillsnashyoung, peter setera, billy joel, etc, etc, etc!

V&B ~ I'm glad you like Conway too. He is so talented, too bad he still isn't around. My grandma would say she loved him for his butt I think more than his vocals. LOL!!!
