I wrote a new song

Wrote this one an under an hour, only 2nd song I've
had do that. Wrote a song titled "DWI" one Sunday
morning in less than an hour(do Sunday morning and
music go together?), about all the time I spent on
scratch recording it. I wrote a song this Sunday morning
titled "I'm Such A Fool" (probably an agreeable title to
the forum). Gonna scratch record it with some guitars,
piano, drums, and synths. Chord progression E/ Ab7/ C#m/
C#m7/ A/ B/ A/ B/ E, need a bridge.

I bet you guys got some good stories of songs pouring
out to be heard.

I take a bizarre approach I suppose, I perform rituals and chant mantras, design sigils, and immerse my self in the subject matter to which I am composing for. Eventually, something begins to unfold in my head and I write it down.

OK, you are using ...

E/Ab7/C#m/C#m7/A/B/A/B/E

Unsure of your syncopation or timing.

The bridge is D/A/C/G (imo). I hear it slow.
Something like a full bar for each or just slightly short of.

The second time after the main DACG, the c/a/d/b is a cut time progression (half as much time as the earlier part, culminating with E)

The barre D is also fun to trill the sus4 as you go through it.

SO it would be..

D/A/C/G

2nd time
D/A/C/G - - - faster C/A/D/B - - E

I just jammed the crap out of this with a friend of mine.
It works ok. Play with it. Take what you want, leave the rest.

I'll try that for the bridge today,
playing this at about 124 bpm.
Words starting to form for bridge.
I will play around with some of those chord progressions.

Thanks

LD,
Liquor store dope is a F'ing coool tune.

Excellent i dig it. This is easily your best cut so far imo.
You're getting better at your recording. Better separation between your guitar tracks on this cut.
Your "Stones" are showing a bit! 8)

This popped out of my head last weekend. I'm working on recording a rough draft of it but here is the concept:

What if Milla Jahovich (Resident Evil) took her role too seriously and saw it all in a flash of ?clarity?? And down the rabbit hole she went. With her shootin? iron?

Alice in Zombie Land
Copyright Michael Peirce (Talbot) 2012

Verse
What if her submachine gun?s real
but the folks ain?t zombies?
They?re nothing like they seem to appear!
Some angry guitar work.
What if you?re in the line of fire ?
she thinks you?re undead,
And shoots your brain ? right out of your head!

Off with their heads!

Chorus
Just folks. It?s always just folks who get tagged.
You?re it motherfucker, you?re just someone?s fixation!
You are just background noise ? they don?t even see you.
As they indulge their crazed imagination!

bridge
Could be schizophrenia! Everyone but you!
Watch out for zombies?and normal people too?
The guitar must be controlled violence here.
etc

Sorry folks - Bandmix fired a java error at me whenever I tried to save. I removed "..." from it and it worked. But apparently it was working all along.
