Want me to perform for you? I'll met you in person at your venue, look you straight in the eye, and if I agree IN TRUST with your terms I'll shake on it.

That's called "a gentleman's agreement". Good to see its still exists with some folk.

Don't you want a few $$ also? Handshakes don't even pay for the gas!
I prefer contracts.

. A handshake IS a contract in my book. I also said "agree in trust with your terms". "Terms" must always include reasonable pay. I don't expect money up front, but if I hold my end of the agreement you WILL pay the agreed upon finacial renumeration per "contract." I was just offered a few "gigs" sight unseen by somebody this morning who I don't know from Jack Doodoo who wouldn't take 5 minutes out of their busy day and meet up and shake on the deal. Oh well, have a nice life....

Yes, "some" being the operative word.

I would think "damn few" would be more like it.

I feel ya Bob. I like to look a person in the eye too.

Though I would have to admit that some considerable cleavage made that rather difficult at my last meeting.

. Sans, I'm sure God forgives you for even having just a little lust in your heart.

Bob, I guess that was just one of those guys that shouldn't fish, just cut bait.
You know better than that. People have forgotten the words Honor and Tolerance.

Even worse for that poor schmuck, HE HAD THE CHANCE TO PLAY WITH A # 1 BASS PLAYER!!!!

What stupidity!!!!

FBob is right on this for sure. It's not our job to ensure both sides of a deal. If we insist ourselves on acting forthrightly, we've held up our end of it.

Obviously it pays also to be circumspect. Trust everyone but lock your car.

. Most likely a righteous man, but it is not for me to make that determination.

It's the way of the world.

Print you off a standard contract off
the internet, or we use to threaten
them with bodily harm, this usually
always works.

If you wont look me in the eye, were
off to a bad start.

I try to do right by God's law but it's tough for a sinner like me.
Most thumpers would sh*t green if they heard the sins I've reveled in.
Beauty is, Jesus has my back.
