well it wasn't a composition or anything just a demonstration of the device,
i know it's hard to tell sometimes

it seems whenever you brake out the Moog people automatically think LSD,
though Bob Moog wasn't an acid head, at least as far as I ever heard.

Would be interesting to hear something composed for it. I figured you were just noodling to illustrate the tones. Is there a gradual decrease in sound from a held note or does it just drop off? Can you get any feedback from the speaker?
Ohhh
I noticed you smiled in the clip. Involuntary twitch?

Has an organ tone to it.

I can see how it would benefit many solos in terms of synthesized notes/themes. Also on a pinch, it seems, you could simulate keyboard execution with the guitar (and many listeners might not be the wiser...) Seems to be a very handy device.... Nice job ;)

it depends on how you set it up, i have it set so when the vibration drops below a certain point the trigger releases.
of course you try to coax all you can out of it
you might be able to cause it to feed back, you can basically get anything to feed back. can you control it once it starts that's another question.

a smile yea probably involuntary :)

that's probably cause you're used to hearing strings.
all basic waves have a organ sound, you have to set up complicated wave forms then filter to taste.
when you start with raw electricity, it won't always do what you tell it.

yes you can plug this axe 50 into many different sound sources; korg Yamaha, what have you.
if you are very exacting no one would know the difference.
but it is not very forgiving.
I hope to make use of it on a legit composition soon, in a lead guitar sort of way.
thanks

The mad scientist in his laboratory... cool stuff. I can totally hear your moog guitar laid over one of Scotty's compositions.

way cool, man.

My Roland VG-8 could do a lot of that but your invention does seem to have more dynamic tone with much better response.

I had a roland gr system back in the day.
it was good but I hated the sounds, couldn't get at the presets

and as you say I'm getting closer to a natural guitar feel that would make an alternative sound usable and even desirable

I had an old Korg mono synthesizer which had an input circuit for doing the same thing. Probably should have refurbished it and kept it!

Yes you can now buy midi interface that will convert a midi guitar signal to trigger/gate/pitch voltage that can be used to play old modulators.
I haven't tried that yet but I want to.
