I tried to say this is my Son and he got his music on national TV series through searching out the local artists and musicians in the area. Through some free be gigs he gained notice in the local papers through music reviews and the likes. The people he got to know had some connections and he kept after them until they helped him get some notoriety, no matter how small. So how to get into public view? Get out there and find the people who have the connections. It takes a lot of footwork and tenacity.

I enjoy the thought that he worked at it to the point of sleeping in his car for a while to get into some inner circles. I guess you would call that dedication, at the least having faith that what you are doing is going to go somewhere eventually. No money so to speak, but it opened the door for some more projects for him. :)

Congratulations!

He must have had a good teacher?

This is what I've been harping on these forums for a while. There really aren't that many people who have talent and are willing to concentrate their effort and work consistently over time to reach an objective goal.

Those who do will find success eventually. How much success seems to only be limited by one's imagination and focused effort.

I'd like to add that those whom think that being in a band project for six years or so is a long time ... are full of crap ... it can and usually does take decades of dedication to accomplish any endeavor worth the doing... Not mere years.

Tenacity ... Damn straight !

If you ain't got it ... I don't need you.
