I've got so much going on. We just added saxaphone (hopefully), I'm working on new material for Levitynews.com, I take care of a 265 lb monster every day, then there's two self-employed jobs I'm trying to beef up, plus all the crappy news we are bombarded with continuously, sometimes I just need to DECOMPRESS. How do you do it (without drugs or alcohol please)?

I like to cut my grass or work in my yard.
Then when Im done sit on the patio with my wife and look at the flowers shes planted and look at how thick my bermuda grass is getting, living in the country we have deer, birds, some rabbits squirrels, and if i cant sleep at night between 2 and 4 am we have an armadillo that visits us.
But oddly the most relaxing thing I do is cut grass, I dont know why, but when Im cutting grass I have time to think about anything I want to think about, most of the time its music, but sometimes it seems I can just block everything else out of my mind when Im doing that.
Weird Huh?

I run through the house screaming and yelling obscenities and breaking stuff until a little voice in my head says : "Maybe you need some more caffeine"

I like to hike the canyons. Spring is waterfall season and this is about as relaxing as it gets.

I got into nature photography a few years back. Take a long walk in a scenic place with a camera.
When you're done you'll have exercise and some cool pics. Both great for relaxing.

I've got the worst relaxation technique...I drive! Unfortunately, there are times when so much junk has built up, rattling around inside my head that I just have to get into the old sh!tbox car and hit the back roads. Usually after an hour or so of twists and turns and arguing with myself, I'm ready to be a constructive part of society again.

I'll walk to the park (about 100 yards away) with an acoustic and just sit on a bench and play.
My wife does Yoga.
Sometimes I put on some Classical music... I think it can quiet the whole house down if you pick the right pieces. We used to burn candles as well.
Also the yardwork works well for me.
Take care of yourself FB!

Exercise your body is your temple,
treat it well.
Mowing grass huh JW, I've got several yards
here in SWMO you could mow, why I'd even
pay you. From now to probably October I'll
have to mow at least 1 to 2 days every week,
it's the only thing about hot weather I don't like.
Then again I am heavy handed with the round-up.lol

That's funny, Lynard.
I'd mow your lawn for $ if I was close enough.. lol
That's like my favorite piece of ear plug type gear is the headphones with nothing in them. (The variety that lawn guys wear when working with +80db engines.)
That allows for the biggest blowhard over volume players to blast themselves into the 5th dimension and I don't hear anything loud enough to make me wince.
Interesting ...

...very revealing in some aspects. Excellent question Fisherman Bob. I liked very much reading what the people here do to relax. Somehow it makes them more human and dare I say it likable. My favorite "activity" and method of relaxation is time spent with my wife. This has always been "sacred time" to us. We garden, tend our animals, drink coffee and talk hours and hours, or simply sit for hours silently together reading books. Of course there are many other methods as well but not of the same importance or significance as what I have mentioned or the "after glow" which results. Ta
