OOPS ...

Also forgot to mention Steve's 11 year old son played some percussion with us.
Young man did a stellar job of it too.
We were all very proud of him.

Cool Pics Sans. I notice your drummer is using a Mapex kit. Those are actually great drums for the money.

You do have to get rid of the music stands. Suddenly this has become the normal, where everyone needs some help to remember the changes.

I even knew a guitarist that dragged around a keyboard to use as a music stand. It was so funny because he never played it.

Thanks for the comments.

Music stands? Yeah ... it's been under consideration more than once.

Pictures are deceiving. Stills in a moment in time. I probably use mine the most as the covers we are doing for these shows I have often never even heard a week before we formulate the set list.

During our more heavy originals I'm all over the place. Even playing as I run, skip, juke & jump circles around the audience.

I did make our front man a deal last night. I told him the second he did not need the book at all, I would provided a wireless headset for him to use during our shows.
Jordan needs work on his vocals but is improving with experience.
He is a natural as a front man. He connect well and converses with the audience as we perform. It's already a step above our normal as far as stage presence goes.
As for me I often hear ... "Man I've never seen anyone run and play guitar at the same time, don't you get dizzied doing all that? "
I just smile and say "Thanks ... glad you enjoyed the show." 8)

This was the first time we played at this place, really nice stage, excellent sound and light systems. They also film a DVD of your performance for $20, and it has multiple angles. We'll definitely be back!

That is a nice stage Jimmy. Most places don't understand how much better that makes your show. Even having the drums up helps.

Cool pics both of you guys and your bands. 8)

Great Pics George I love the shirt, Jimmy I need to borrow the leg on the front of your stage!

Glad to see you guys had a great time.

Sat night we stumbled into this music bar and the guitarist was a guy named Steve Engles, he played in a band that i used to follow back in the late 70s and early 80s, they were called Creed or Southern Creed, not the Creed alll of you are thinking of, but anyway I got to sit in with them for a song, so it was great. Unfortunately I didnt have my camera so no pics, poo poo!

Aint Yo Mama is back in action next sat so I should get some fresh shots nect weekend.

Keep On Rockin Guys, thanks for sharing, I love pictures!

I sat in for the last set with a friend Saturday night (solo acoustic) - he always used a music stand -f for lyrics and 'cheat sheet' chords.
That's one thing that my new acoustic partner and I agreed on - no stands - LEARN the lyrics!

It kinda depends on what you are covering, I did the acoustic thing for a whle and I used those cheat song books, cause I didnt know a lot of the songs the people requested, I dont think its really that big of deal one way or the other.

My band doesnt use them, I have no idea how many songs our singer knows, and sometimes he just makes them up, plus we move around so much a music stand would be a weapon, LOL

But for a sit down acoustic act, who really gives a damn, I never could remember all the verses to American Pie, that is one of the longest songs on the planet, I just used to do the chorus and get the crowd singing it with me, so I didnt learn all the words, anyway!
