I was working on a new DAW and I found this cool drum clip in a folder.(Cakewalk Drag & Drop Drummer). The beat kept banging around in my head so I took my Strat and tried to figure out something that might jell with it. Almost as an afterthought I wanted to hear those drums in a big hall so I added a plate reverb to the whole mix.
I laid down this track so I would know how I want record this again at some future time. Then I worked out a finger pickin part for the middle, but busted my nails before I could get that down. So I?ll add that later when I re record it.
Although this is a " ...", no one should become upset because of all the wrong notes.
This starts off rather slow, but as you get into it you begin to think of all the other things you?d rather be doing. Then suddenly it builds to a breath-taking crescendo of disappointments ....... And you realize that it has ended without any of the good stuff.
Then again this was just for the ideas. Besides, I was bored outta my skull at the time. As I listened to it I deemed it a fun listen, so I thought I would post the rough draft.
It is fun to mess with because it?s so simple. A version of this would even go over good even with a rock and roll crowd. It's just downright primitive.
