ella fitzgerald... how could I forget you!
since this is my thread I will hijack myself and...
ladyrocker... heard your bro... here's my take onit
couldn't find eagle song... found smile and a few others
(open letter style)
the good: was going to call him a mediocre guitfiddle player but then he whiped out a nice arpeggio on smile... that is where your hitting hard.
more of that... less trying to be melodic (my opinion again)
the bad: very apparent how much you like joe satriani to any guitfiddle player. pretty much all over dorian. if yer gonna sound like joe you gotta throw down like joe, sounds like you even could (more or less a compliment that I am telling you you sound like joe/steve)
overall: not bad. I do have to be slightly brutal bcuz gitfiddle is my fortay and guitfiddlers are the only ones that are going to listen to instrumental "guitar" songs... unfortunately for the rest of you. Are you playing satrianis rig too? you've nailed that sound whether you intended to or not. nice melodies, good bend control - thow in some more technical solos - I know it's not stylistic... but your audience expects it.
ps... you don't sing like joe... that would be too brutal... perhaps even rude.

Hey MMV.... on joe's myspace page, there's a big blue box on the right side that says something like "Twilight Blues Vague Variations of Vast Vacuity"....... On the bottom of the box there's a "post" button...

Click on it and a bunch of Tunes will pop up.... you'll see "Screamin Eagle - Tania vocals" & "Screamin Eagle - original"

Hope this helps you find it, let me know what you think!! :)

heard the two versions... no offence joe but I think ladyrocker does a better vocal. Specifically, tone was better, not neccessarily sung better.
Also saw a lil video bout joes guitfiddle... apparently the smile song does not do his guitfiddle style justice, not a bad guitfiddle either. rock on!

took me seconds... did it end up in yer "bulk" folder? check there... may have been flagged by a filter as spam.
Some real talent over there... just had a drummer blow me away on work he submitted. They are going to compile a cd at year end and help sell your songs on various outlets(assuming you get on it). Nothin' like letting someone else do the work!
Gonna submit some more stuff soon... even going to submit one or two with lyrics... you are def welcome to sing on anything of mine - you rock!
good luck w that

Nope, didn't end up in bulk folder..... I received one email that welcomed me and said they would review my profile and email me again when approved and it's been a couple of days and haven't heard anything!!

What album is that song on..... I'm sure I've heard it, but, it's prolly been awhile and I can't seem to pick it off the top of my head!!

Thanks MV!! Too bad Wisconsin is quite a haul.... wouldn't mind tryin to throw down some tracks!!

afa quite a haul... yeah, some day they'll build a bridge(JK).
songs lyrics:
"I'ts another lonely evening, in another lonely town.
but I ain't to old to worry, when a woman get's me down."
(ok that part might be a little awkward for ya, hehe)
Got another empty bottle, in another empty bed
aint' too young to admit it, now I'm not too old to lie
I'm just another empty head." ETC.
but scotts voice is really mellow on this one... it's his best. Just a straight 12 bar blues progression, but done with so much class.
AFA music collab... I'd just sign up again as a new member. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes(it didn't for me). good luck
