On one hand it is a shame that his behavior will negatively reflect on his organization, but it also brings the whole issue much more exposure (lol figuratively speaking).

I lived in Africa for two years - a wonderful country called Rhodesia where I got my first real taste of freedom. And much else...

Africa is poor because Africans are a bloody mess. David Sowell (who is black) wrote a good book about it - Africa is rounded, not many decent harbors available, much disease in the hinterlands isloating Northern Africa from Southern Africa. Islam ....

These conditions led to cultural backwardness and thus we find the place pretty much tribal not much more than a century ago. Since then the white man has come and gone. Doing much good and much harm as well.
The tribal tensions remain even as many Africans have modernized.

Sadly, many of the better educated Africans have emigrated - many others use their educations and positionsfor personal gain or to promote clans or tribes.

Disease is once again rampant. AIDS is blamed for much of it - but the very word AIDS draws UN and US money (do I repeat myself?) since it's the poliitcally correct disease. Thus we can't know really, what's killing so many Africans, only that they are dying.

Are white countries still exploiting the place? Gee....I wonder. When I was in Rhodesia the Americans, British, Red Chinese and Soviets were all allied against us. Made me realize that the 'cold war' might just be a hoax. They got the white govt out because the black govt was much easer to bribe and my my - how many fine resources.
