Do capes help you play better?

Some of the famous artists of yesterday Frank Marino, Geddy Lee, YES.......
wore capes to improve their MOJO. This seldom discussed topic should be of paramount concern for young up and coming artists. If somebody asked you to wear a cape would you?

I used to wear a sarape (poncho) a lot when I was gigging. Not quite a cape but close.

A cape, grass skirt, and a sombrero all worn at the same time. Great for getting attention. Great for your mojo.

Cape, assorted hats, a variety of sunglasses, wierd facial shave patterns, three piece suits, hawaiian shirts, loud ties, red cordoruy pants, black fingernails, multi-colored spiked pony-tailed hair, halloween masks, bandanas, glow sticks...I've got a closet full of stuff, and it's all for the sole purpose of performing. Hey, I don't just walk around the house wearing this junk...

Well, sometimes.

Performing, live and on stage before an audience, is only 50% sonic. The other 50% is visual. I've hammered people on this point so much that I can't stand to hear MYSELF talk about it.... I'll guarantee that people will remember seeing me perform, if no for the songs, then definitely for my "wardrobe" (Eechh...), and my "behaviour". I'm determined to make a lasting impression no matter what it takes.
