So much talk about covers vs originals, I have posted all covers on my player (they're all instrumentals).

You'll like this Jimmy. We added "Rhinosaur" and "Day I Tried to Live" (Soundgarden) as our 2 covers along with our Originals set.
Now.... All we need is a vocalist.

Despite my always coming down on the side of playing originals, I've learned three covers recently: "Exodus", "Am I Evil?", and 'I want to know,' which is a tune I'm playing with the Lutheran School kids this Sunday. Which is a better gig than it sounds - have a violin, piano, guitar and percussion plus me on bass. Should be fun.
Then I switch to guitar and practice with my heavy metal drummer that eveing - I'm doing the multiple personalities thing.
I've always respected your choice of covers - hell, Iggy works for me!

Jerry: Soundgarden rocks! Nice choices.
Mike: That's pretty cool being as diverse as that. I think that's important; I play as much acoustic as I do electric, it's a totally different approach.
Rock on fellers!

Jerry we have a gig tonight and are planning on doing Outshined, Soundgarden is one of my favs, I love the old album Louder Than Love.
Good Luck getting a singer to handle Cornell, hes tough.
We are doing the Ron Paul Benefit thingie, and are playing with some younger heavier groups, my singer said to come up with a heavy set.
Start in Drop D
Killing In The Name
Them Bones
Dam That River
Outshined (could be replaced with Spoonman)
Soo Hott
tune up to standard
Sandman
Immigrant Song (maybe if our singer is up to it)
Walk This Way
Suck My Kiss
Dr Jack (an old original of ours about Jack Kervocian, or however you spell his name)
Im so used to playing 40-50 songs a night its kinda frustrating, cause I just love to play and ussually take a set to get warmed up.
We play from 12-12:40, followed by a band called Drag The Waters, should be fun, nothing like showing the young dudes that some of us old dudes can still rock!

Indeed!
Your tone with the wah pedal was right on the spot. I thought you were gonna pull some Satch out.
I can't believe I'm saying this but "No matter what" needs some noodleing.

My engineer says the same thing, but I'm not much of a noodler. I tend to do covers fairly straight forward, but anyone who wants to lay down some noodles is welcome!

Thanks again John! Good ears, "No Matter What" is the same track Neanderpaul did his magic on, minus the lead guitar. Break a leg tonight!

4th of July takes that crazy ass f'ed up tuning, right?
I detest tunes that need an atonal or specialty tuning..and I don't use 10 guitars at a time.
2 is usual, anymore than that is just something extra to me for me to worry about.
