That song is actually featuring Marilyn Manson

I'm blown away.
Apparently she had albums out wayyyyyyy before she was Skylar Grey she was going by her birth name Holly Brook Hafermann.
Her new album is still not released, personally i'm pretty excited to see who else is featured on her album !
Not only that but because of the fact that she has a really cool vibe !
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I listened some of her more down tempo stuff and its sends chills up my spine
here is one that almost made me tear up...
 :(

A true piece of art...I related quite deeply to the lyrics, I wrote 4 songs after being inspired by the family story behind the lyrics

I've not listened to much of her but what I've heard she sounds really good. The zombie tune was rockin. 8)
Love the way you lie was cool... seems kind of EMOish.

Joshua, I owe you an apology! You see there are folks that come to this site that need an ego boost and they usually come in here lecturing us old farts about the music biz. It is difficult on the net to understand people's intent as it can seem impersonal! I feel like I was hard on you last Saturday.
I would like to believe that your intentions were good! I can't imagine how I would have dealt with something like the internet when I was 18 back in 1976. Actually I probably would have said the same thing you did LOL! One thing about us old BASTIDS is "if you listen you can learn"

That is something I did realize a lifetime ago when I was a "whippersnapper"

I apologize for sounding like a complete @ss.

1 of the reasons i make music is because I'm not good at talking.
I was never the talkative kid in school.
I've always had really bad social anxiety.

Music does exactly what i need it too.
help me express myself, and connect with others.

on a side note @ jahva ...I really like your song "picture on the wall"
pretty cool man...Any chance you could bounce the stems and e-mail them to me for a remix not like a DJ Remix but like a re-production...i really wanna add a few layers to it...maybe add some more drums and maybe a synth or two.i wouldn't change the structure cause it sounds pretty flawless to me.
sounds like the type of stuff I've been doing lately...especially the chorus.
Might even add my own voice to the chorus just to thicken things up. sounds very uplifting.

here's my email : joshuatrax@gmail.com

& @ J-Haley your track "Life Goes On" is really dope.
The guitar is crazy, the first like :30 seconds is really ear catching !
Maybe its just me but sounds very Metallica-ish.
its 1 hell of a jam.

Josh,
Thanks for the words.
Actually I'm going to re-record that song in a couple of months in a studio here in Charlotte. I wouldn't waste your time with that version. But I'll K.I.T. when i have a quality recording I'll send you the stems so you can give it a go. Some young ears might be what it needs. One of my sons is going to do the drum tracks, so I'm sure he'll bring his two cents along for the ride. (he's also a youngster at 20yrs old). lol!!
My oldest son does DNB tracks, I want to get some feedback from him as well regarding final mixes when the time comes.

Jeff,
Josh is right on. I can hear some Metallica in your playing on Life goes on as well.
... you show good restraint yet know when to rip it. Really good taste in your playing and tone.
Also one of the best songs I've heard around here. 8)

I agree with Joshua, Picture On The Wall is a great song Jahva. I was on your site yesterday listening to your tracks. Wow dude you are a VERY good song writer! You have a knack for musical hooks. Your music reminds me of a friend and musical soul mate who wrote some of the songs on my player. The ones that don't say original or cover. Cudo's to you Jahva! 8)

Wow thanks guy's. I write as the music flows. Those songs are some of my first attempts at writing, producing, and recording. I was concerned I was noodeling on that song to much. I play all the instruments on my recordings and do all the vocals. The only thing on there that I am not playing are the drums (discreetdrums.com)! I have a Metal side to me (it's in my blood). As you can imagine metal bands don't go over to well down here in Texas so over the years I had to develope my skills in other musical style's. Thanks again ya'll made my day! :D

Jeff,
I appreciate your words man. Thanks
I just listened to the rest of your cuts! All I can say is keep writing originals man. Your covers are cool and fun but you've got some great original ideas.
I just listened to Life goes on for the 4th time Holy crap dude
Awesome song. 8)
