WED FEB 1:
King's X , El Paso TX- I will bring in my Gretsch and Mustang 2 amp into the premises. I will then sign up for the Blues Open Mic... and I will take on the distinct honor and privilege of performing my new Blues Song... With a full band of seasoned Blues geezers to back me... I am stoked ! : ) This is awesome for me on so many levels... I will try to get some video of it and post it This week:

SAT FEB 25:
Percolator, El Paso TX - Will Perform my folk stuff at the Open Mic. Last week, It appears that I was successful...Got the crowd going toward the back-end of my song... They really seemed to enjoy it... (I have that Vid Posted on my BM Profile)

THUR, MAR 1:
Percolator, El paso TX - The very First El Paso Songwriting Competition, hosted and sponsored by yours truly : ). This one will plant a seed in the history of our community. With luck, it will grow. With more luck, it will become an life-long integral part of our endowments to the arts of El Paso... WHo knows... It may even bridge some artistic gaps between EP and Juarez... But this first round... I have no clue what I'm doing... Just gonna pretend like I know... and watch amazing people emerge from hiding. Its been a long time coming...

OTHER
Working On Song # 3 and #4 of 10, slated for a CD. The CD will be titled
"Homemade Remedies" and will be my first real -professional effort.

DONE! :)
I'm just blown away by the guys that collaborated with me...on this. They step in...First take.. And I was the only guy that goofed it...(my own song! LOL!). AT the end of the song I got a damn 'frog in my throat" and it kinda anti-climatically blew the impact of the lyric there. I also noticed that there some holes I could have filled in with a few guitar licks here and there...but dang, I was so overwhelmed and blown away by the backing, that I just let it ride... I felt really good about it all.

Also , Lynard...this was the final product of the impromptu lyrics I posted a few weeks back, that you said had read good ;)

Great Job, looks like you were leading
not following, somebody's got to do it.

A I, IV, V has always sounded good,
and always will, ah hell, just give me
lots of I, and V.

With that hat you almost looked like
Bo Diddly, lol

Heart of Stone just sounds alone 8)

Any Gretch I've ever played melted in my hands. I just haven't had the right opportunity (or money) at the time. Although my Washburn (Oscar Smidt) 335 copy (to me anyways), plays like any Gretsh hollow body or solid.

LOL! Thanks Lynard... Bo-Diddly had more of a raised brim... Sort of the Kansas look I think... The hat I wore was imitation New York fedora (Made in Mexico) . I had just bought it 10 minutes earlier...(an Acquaintance of mine vendors at the bar and had shirts and used hats for sale ...I bought the one you see, Put it on and stepped up... :)

Thanks Jahva,

That piano man is Mike Cox and he is arguably the best one around these parts... He's actually pretty Brilliant... They all are......those guys were just tuning up with me... I was first one up... They blow the roof off the house once they get going... They all have a pretty extensive history ...and I'm just this green sprout... LOL!
