A month or two before Xmas I expressed my
ignorance about recording and, Mr Jahva emailed
me about free classes at Guitar Center, well they'd
been canceled for the holidays. Now they're starting
back up at GC, I went to the GC homepage and registered
at the store close to me. I think this Saturday's class
is on mikes and stuff.

Just thought I'd let you know if anybody wanted to go.

I just got my first copy of Tape-Op magazine this week
also. Someone on the forum had started a thread on that
free magazine. I look at the ads and realize I know nothing
about recording. There is a cool interview with Steve Albini,
and his Chicago studio.

That's cool ... Nothing like that going on around here.

And if it were I'd have no time ... my plate is full.

Great idea! When goggling make sure to search discussions that's where you'll find what's hot what's not. Getting past the equipment and actually recording is nirvana.

I attended this class Saturday, and it was
eye-opening.
Dealt mainly with Garage band recording
on a I-pad.
You don't have to be able to play any
instruments at all to make a recording
as layered as a George Martin recording.

Those of us who do play, this is an unbelievable
tool.

Going back next Saturday, for the 2nd class,
the course will be repeated the rest of the year.
It's a 5 week course.

I met an old drummer friend while there at
Guitar Center, and next week have a guitar
playing friend going with me.

The class is certainly worth the price of admission,
FREE

Very cool LD. It's free because they're hoping you might visit the acoustic room and pick up a Martin!
