We just landed the opening slot for national touring bands Trillium Vein and Heart-Set Self-Destruct on March 23, which is also my daughter's 30th birthday. The venue is a really nice place, top notch stage and PA system. I am stoked!

Thanks John. I played at this place a few years ago (not with The Farleys) and was really impressed with it, very nice compared to some of the joints we usually play lol.

The weather here in H-town has been unseasonably warm. Last week we actually hit 80! I was wearing shorts and flipflops! Our AAA gigs here are when it floods. I was just watching a youtube video of cars smashing into one another in a snowstorm.

You know...
AAA Great room, great crowd, great paycheck
AA Good room, great crowd, good paycheck
A Good room, fun crowd, good paycheck
B Fair room, fun crowd, good paycheck
C Dive Bar, fun crowd, some paycheck
D Dead bar, a few skanks hitting on the drummer, play for tips.
F Dead bar, angry drunks, pay to play

There are variations on this of course but you get the idea. :)

Got it. I think Jeff and I are thinking of AAA gig as 'had to call AAA to get a jump/get towed out the ditch' etc.

We've actually had a pretty good winter so far, only shoveled once.

Oh! Our "towed out of a ditch" moments usually happen AFTER the gig

One time we played up in the mountains and at 2am it was pea soup foggy. The bass player took a wrong turn at the highway and made it home about noon the next day.

Congrats, JimmyDanger, Crush it.

Most of our gigs were between B-C.

I'm not going to lie, most of ours are 'C' but we always have fun!

I've seen more "C" than anything else.
(smells like teen spirit)

But you have more fun in THOSE places because you just don't care as much and you tend to "let 'er hang out..and it sounds like it as well.

If you're lucky maybe they have strippers, too? lol
