Pete, our bass player and engineer, bought everyone a copy of the new Stooges biography by Brett Callwood titled "Head On". It's strange to see your band name and album titles in print; we're mentioned three places in the book. Lots of cool pictures and a pretty decent account of the rise, fall and rise again of one of the most important rock and roll bands.

Strange indeed ...
Not so much that a band is mentioned in a book.
But to see one's own project seemingly from the third person perspective.

I think for myself it would give me a feeling of pride and accomplishment and yet a feeling as if I had not yet really done enough.

i read a book about iggy recently. Don't know if it was the same one. it was pretty strange but didn't focus enough on the music. Don't recall Farleys being mentions but it did list some bands the Stooges played in various venues - particularly Detroit.

were you part of that original band? How long ya been together? I searched you out on youtube and you guys rock! I think the "doghouse" live in 2011 was the best one.

The Farleys came together in 1996; the Mitchell brothers played at an open mic that I hosted for six years. At first I played bass for them, and then switched to guitar after Rasta's brother retired in 1999. I produced all six of our recordings, the first three with Scott Asheton starting in 2000. Iggy reformed the Stooges right after Scott recorded the third CD with us.

I know, but not many of us are noting in something like that, 20 years from now some dude will read it and say I wonder who the hell the Farleys are? and maybe look you guys up, I just think thats cool, know it doesnt change your world any, but its great to be noted somewhere.

And I assume you are a huge Stooges fan, my luck I would get listed in something by someone like Lady Gaga, yea theres this old f**k from TN that wears the coolest wigs! LOL

You know I've always loved the Farley's
music, and think musically you and Rasta
Farley are bad to the bone.

The sum of the parts, equals more than the
individual parts , ie 2+2=7. You guys got it
all, and you rock.

Rasta Farley looks like someone I could get
in trouble with rocking thru the bars. I bet it
would be fun.
