Mine: 1)More gigs
2) Write more tunes, at least one per month
3) Get to the pro studio
4) Promote the band more
5) Appear at a few jam sessions around town (begrudgingly)
6) Give more bass lessons
7) FINALLY get a serious promo package together (website, demo CD)
8) Put a few tunes on Jango
9) Put together a Reverbnation page
10) Get a musical Facebook page
11) Participate in the International Blues contest
12) Participate in the KKFI band auction
13) In other words get off my LAZY butt and do something a lot more with God-
given ability.

To be the best human being I can be. 8)

My main goals are all on the spiritual side.

1. Pray with focus
2. Listen to God more than talk
3. Obey the vision the Lord gives me without fear or doubt
4. help others He puts in my path

And if that agenda is successful, then musically I'd like to:

1. Develop an international distribution network for my indie label
2. Translate some of my songs into Romanian, Polish, and Russian
3. Go to Israel, the Phillipines and/or South America
4. Start a scholarship fund for young writers of praise and worship music
5. Make more per gig so I can afford to gig less and stay home once in a while

Here is my list:

1. Develop better phrasing and musicality with my solos.

2. Get better on my Rhythm Chops.

3. Write better songs by focusing on melody.

4. Expand my knowledge by listening to more genres.

5. Maybe take vocal lessons

My resolution is simple.. " Keep on keepin on... "

I'm in the throws of recording material, coordinating that damn Song writing contest (Which I am discovering is a real pain in the ass)
and date/get out more. (Started doing that a few weeks ago)

I want to focus on:

Keeping the vow to be playing live this year with original music

Expand my abilities by jumping into different genres. (seeing TSO do 'Oh Holy Night' was a revelation, not to mention 'Ode to Joy')

Involve my freind the violin player into recording sessions with my music.

Work on my pathetic vocals.

Spend more time with my bass since i've been sort of ignoring that lately since I'm playing mostly lead guitar these days.

To look for and find the problems with my playing that I've been missing.

Perhaps most importantly - to remind myself always that I'm "running out of time, life has it's boundaries," and to not waste a second i could be using to work on my music.

Happy New Year boys!
Talbot

Resolution... To locate and recover every damn last one of my guitar picks, which I have lost tons of...in my home throughout the year...... Sort of like loose change in the couch, etc...

To always give each and every note the attention it deserves.

To record some of the many songs that I have written and never find the time to record.

And a bunch of other stuff.

To play live music until they cover me over with dirt. Les Paul showed us all how to do it, playing well into his 80s.

To bring forward 35 years of recordings and transfer the oldest tracks from tape to digital. Remix and master the good stuff as a record of my work over the years. I doubt any of it would sell today but it might be an interesting project.

Record some fresh tracks with fresh ears at the console.

Play "Happy as Larry" verbatim. (hey if a 16 yr old girl can do it...)

I don't have any " NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS " as such.

And have already mentioned the bands goals.

I just want to get the f**k out of the hospital.
Sick of being an enabler that makes it possible for these greedy bastards to put peoples lives and health at risk for increased profits.

Interestingly enough a good friend of mine, a year younger than I retired yesterday.
His children all grown and he has worked for the same company since we graduated high school.
Proud for him but it makes me feel kind of funny as retirement, as such, is a pipe dream for me.

Going to invest more money in sound equipment very soon as no matter what occurs with NKF, I intend to do music for the rest of my life.

George

I recently saw a special on Dave Brubeck, the jazz artist. I'd seen him live when I was in college back in the pre-Cambrian era. That rascal is still wailing!

He converted to Christianity in his 80s and now, in his nineties (!) has written a Cantata about that. Still rocks on the keys too.

It would be foolish for anyone to stop playing because of age, unless you're too busy chasing dancing girls in your dotage to bother playing!

first place I look when I can't find a pick is the dryer. I'm sure to find a few stuck in the lint trap or laying in the barrel. ^.^
