I set here thinking what could make this Christmas any better! Folks I set here knowing my beautiful woman is the BEST! Yours is Too RIGHT! They put up with us! Dawn has been out shopping for presents and food all day! Her Pops (Vietnam Vet) just got back in town! I have nothing more to say than I sure do miss the Beetle's and especially John Lennon!

My wife got off early and was doing the same things. We then took her son and his family to a new Chinese restaurant which was quite nice.

My 4 yr old granddaughter wrote my name! (PaPa). Then I took her and her ten year old sister to the fish tank and they demanded to know the names of each fish. I was straining to come up with names - there were ten of them. I lost track and then Bethie pointed at one and said "Papa - that's not Timmie!" They all look the same! Great fun.

Wife was pleased with our impromptu family get together and now she is in bed, and I'm in my rehearsal studio and feeling good. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but tonight is going to bring some electric guitar!

Bonus Question: if a heavy metal guy learns a Christmas Carol - which I did, namely 'what child is this?' does that make it a heavy metal Christmas Carol? I'm planning on playing it with all my girls as backup singers!

I think it is what you make of it Mike. Never met your grand kids,. Don't need to. But I love them all the same!

You guys have seen photos my beautiful six string gift.
I'm still just in awe of how this little semi-hollow feels.
I never really understood how much difference a personally appropriate fret board could make.

I spent yesterday playing " santa " for two of my granddaughters.
Their simple smile put a tear in the old fools eye.

I do miss my other grand daughter and my grandson whom due to divorce are not available for Christmas with " our side of the family ".

Guys ... that's f@#ked up.

I hear you George! My daughter was supposed to come down from Austin with my grandson (4 months old) but she couldn't because of the baby daddy!
