I must have a bad reputation...

I've been a premium BM member for a number of years and usually get a handful of requests to join/audition for bands but this year I can't recall getting any. It could be the economy, so few places paying bands any money, people giving up. Or it could be my bad reputation. Oh well, maybe 2012 will be better. Let's hope...

I was watching it and trying to determine if that guitarist playing the strat is Gary Moore? I know he was with Thin Lizzy. Its hard to tell because people look different when they are younger!

No that's Brian Robertson or "Robo" as he's known. He only played on three tracks on the album and this wasn't one of them, thus we see Scott Gorham playing all the leads. Robo has been hired and fired a number of times from the band, mostly for drinking and fighting.

Thanks for the info Jimmy! I have always liked Scott Gorham's guitar playing! My son has a DVD of them Live. Scott is such a good rock player!

Gary Moore. I remember him from "To Tell The Truth".

There might be a 2 day show that we were helping put together.
It is dissolving because 3 bands fell apart in 2 months.
It is diffidently the times, brother.

The worst thing about being a musician is the other people never seem to care as much as you do. I've had breakups with bands that were as traumatic as with women.
Sometimes I felt like I'm just a damn fool, but then I get up, dust myself off and write another song, and start puttin' something together.
These days the music scene if a wide open area. Hard to get a gig - hard to make a buck - good equipment available cheap, easy to expose your music to the world.
To paraphrase a little American history and point it at the music scene - "It was the worst of times, and the best of times..." (Thomas Paine.)
Merry Christmas
