lol... Pretty cool and strange at the same time.

Dig the hair and outfits. There's a cover of Sweet Home Alabama too.

No, this group is WEIRD. Here's their influences (apparently): Milli Vanilli (outfits), Flock of Seagulls (hairdo), Easter Island (they stand around like statues), Wizzard of Oz (Lollipop Guild shoes). Then they cover the most overplayed song in history pretty much average if not lame and back it up with an orchestra and the Russian Red Army choir. Sorry, but it's WEIRD and BOrING.

Yeah.... they did nothing for me. I tried listening to the whole piece but dude F'd upped the lyrics and I couldn't understand what the mens ensemble was singing.

Something strange I have noticed about Russians. In my younger days, Russian women were always portrayed as stumpy little fat women named Helga filling baskets with thatch. In recent years (after Mail order brides were coming from Russia), I have seen some of the most beautiful women alive are Russian.

One hour of downloading, getting nothing but the pre- iminent cheering, I've cancelled, along with another web job app. that takes me to a spam site for ITT (school).

I hadn't checked out the Youtube at the time I read your post. I guessed, "Free Bird," after reading your post. Still not a bad guess.

GOOD:

1.) The lead singer was outstanding, in my opinion.

2.) The guitar solo in the seventh minute.

BAD:

1.) I thought that maybe the ensemble was singing in Russian, that's about how intelligible it was to me.

2.) I think that their feet were glued to their places on the stage.

NEUTRAL:

1.) I'm not really going to take the outfits into consideration. I look at outfits and the like as something that can add to (but not really detract from) a performance...I will say that they didn't add anything.

OVERALL: 7/10 Certainly not the worst cover of the song I've heard, but far from the best.

Not a bad selection, LD. Certainly out of the ordinary!
