What more could a musician ask from a spouse than to understand his passion.

Muchas gracias mi amigo.

She is sweet. ( My wife and the guitar )

Her action and responsiveness to my touch is every bit as expressive as my LP Goddess.
With a longer scale which gives me a little more working room above the 12th.

And those 57's sound oh so good through my VT-16 amp.

Not to say she did not give some grief about it all ... after all, that is her job.

Cool Sans. Having a good loving loving woman covering your back means so much...
Still ain't gonna take my 78 Paul away, with frets so worn no one else can play it. :)

Aside from being a double cut away, giving greater access to high registers (I love that), it is also quieter than an acoustic with a more favorable sound to play (when others in the house are still asleep), and an unplugged electric won't cut it. Mine is only a Washburn copy, but I love it all the same. It also has a sound quality plugged in my solid bodys can't reach. Best played on clean channel, but also has the warmest tones in distortion mode than any other electric on my wall. Try the opening to Nirvana's Nevermind. Cool Beans, Sans! :D

Yes I was impressed at first handling with the acoustic quality.
I purchased the EPI Black Back LP to get a real world assessment of how the 24 3/4" scale would work for me. The Goddess is listed I believe as 3/5ths ?
At any rate the fretting is tighter particularly above the 12th fret.
Also to get some feel of how different Epi & Gibson sound in comparison.
I can play the 25" scale guitars but the is some reach issues as my hands are not very large.
This 30/60 neck profile 24 3/4 scale seems to be a perfect compromise for me.
She growls nicely on the edge of feedback with the tube saturation turned up around 6-7 on my VT-16 it took a soak setting @ 9-10 with my LP to do the same.
Roll that soak back to around 5 add a little delay and chorus from the PA effects channels and I get a beautiful bell like quality from the neck pup.
I'm anxious to get together with the band to find the perfect settings for a our various tunes.
Now to sneak in some effects pedals ... still thinking delay & chorus may be all I really need.
Though loop capability for my wood-shedding would be awesome.

Any other thoughts / input from you fellows with semi hollow experience would be appreciated.

In your "Roll back" line, we that have these hollow bodies would be remiss if we didn't mention the wondrous harmonic sounds that is rich and glowing. 8) If there were anything else I could add that I think you'll enjoy about playing it dry (without electric), is the vibration you will feel from the body as you play. You could be deaf and tune that guitar!

De nada.

I've asked other guitarists to translate the above for me, so I'm going to help out my fellow singers that don't play any instruments with the translation:

"It's really good."

Grimacing, grinding teeth, remembering the commandments, "Thou shalt not envey thy neighbor's guitar..." or something like that.

Congratualtions pal. What a sweetie (x2)

Nice George! Maybe I missed it, what model is that? It looks like a little ES-335.
