Hey guys,

I just got a Ensoniq KS-32 keyboard. Its heavier than a fat chick driving a semi, But that is besides the point. I record using pro tools and I would like to know how I can plug it in with midi cables (or whatever it takes) to be able to use the programed sounds. If anybody can help this would be greatly appreciated.

Its very simple, two ways you can record the sounds from the keyboard.

1. plug the keyboard into keyboard amp, place a mic in front of the amp and adjust your volume levels and start recording.

or

This keyboard has two types of audio outputs
1. Headphone output
2. L & R audio outputs using 1/4" line cables.

Line out keyboard to line in pro-tools

Also depends on your interface box. Some have a midi connections on the back but the low budget models like the one I use (MKII) don't.
You can get one with midi capabilities for around $150.00 or so.
I use a really cheap Yamaha keyboard (practically a toy) and run out of the headphone line in to the interface box. It's not midi but it allows me to record the sounds from the keyboard.
