Watch out for this one.

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system.
Recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account.
We requested information from you for the following reason:

Our system detected unusual charges to a credit card linked to your PayPal account.

Reference Number: PP-259-187-991
PayPal is constantly working to ensure security by regularly screening the accounts is our
system. We recently reviewed your account, and we need more information to help How
can I restore my account access ?

Christmas and some assholes are out there trying to rip people off. I know all of you are smart to avoid stuff like this, but it just pisses me off when I see this Email crap.

I get "alerts" like this almost daily. Paypal, verify my Craigslist account, Bank of America fraud alerts, etc. Etc. Etc. CONSTANT BS. Nothing we can do about them except delete.

I hear ya Glen... It pisses me off too. But if its any consolation, the assholes who do this ...most probably have no real friends, or close family... They will spend Christmas under their rocks...They are a doomed species.

Yeah Dog, you be completely right. At my advanced age I am still amazed any one has the balls to go so far out of the way to hurt some one else.

hitler, stallin, etc etc etc. :evil:

The simple rule of thumb is: only open a link if you know who it's from. If there's any question at all as to the source, delete.

Forward the email with spoof@paypal.com

They will look into it, and if found to be malicious, will in some instances, shut down the site involved. I got a lot of phishing emails a while back. Now I'm poor and they don't bother :D
