I give up. there'll be no Hayden King band in this musicians wasteland. I can find nothing but posers here; if you want to just play easy to learn covers and get drunk n laid, that's fine... just don't waste the time of, or get in the way of us that want more.
So I'm going to do what I originally intended to do = finish this album and get the f**k outa this shithole.
Heading to higher ground = a major metropoliton area where I can gather dedicated original artists and players.
So look for my album to be online within the next few months, but don't look for me to do any performing until I get back to civilization.
I gave these weaksucks every chance.
P.S. these dipshits @ BM have deleted my post for band members search in the U.S. forum SEVEN times.

The sad truth is most of the "musicians" you run into are just hacks, who only play for the reasons you listed. Very few play music for the sake of playing music.

You mean I could get laid ?

Why did you guys not tell me before ?

Seriously Hayden, I wish you rotsa ruck.

The most serious ( if serious = dedication ) musicians I've met since 05 when I picked up the axe have been amateurs.

Doing originals takes too much work for most people. I hope you find what you're looking for. I feel your frustration.

Good Luck, Hayden I wish you the
best, it seems original music is the
toughest way to go, but it's gotta
beat playing the same old tired cover
songs. Then again there's gotta be something
said for getting laid, an admirable ambition.

That's Aersmith when they were humble kings having fun at the pinnacle of their careers. Their music today is good but that honest enjoyment of what they are doing gets lost in their sound. It is their work to entertain. Their "fun" was contagious and enspiring. Now it's just "entertaining", IMO.

Nope.

I don't get drunk. I don't use my musical ability to get laid. I play because I am a musician, and playing music is what musicians do. I paid my dues playing every night for years in clubs.

In case it escaped you, musicians play music because it is in their blood. And that is the only motive they need. So what makes your motive for playing music so lofty that you can slam other musicians as good or better than you are because of what they have chosen to do with their music? I see that you're not signed with anyone. Get in your way? You're self importance is greatly exaggerated. I doubt very much if anyone here has "gotten in your way"

As far as the musicians on this forum: I've heard some pretty good covers, as well as some originals from some musicians on here. Don't knock them just because it isn't your bag. It just makes you appear to be full of yourself. Bitterness never gets anyone anywhere.

Personally, I enjoy playing cover songs as well as writing and playing originals. Easy to learn cover songs? Try playing one of my renditions of a cover song and then tell me how easy it was to learn.

So if you managed to get a hit, would you still slam the musicians on here or elsewhere that wanted to play it? Just curious.

Good luck. With an attitude like you appear to have, you'll need it. Please let us posers that you have left behind know when you make it big, just in case we miss it. :)
