For that song set and the way you guys played it, and your other song sets are as good... Absolutely rock bottom minimum $1,200.00 a night.

Good picking on that Journey song sound
like Neal

A dance floor full of women no men at all,
where is Mac's?

That Frampton thing is cool. 8)

I wonder about the light set-up, we always
point the lights at us and away from the
audience. From the angle of the video it looks
like the lights are pointed at the crowd.

He tries to get the lights up higher to where they are not so much pointed at the audience. Mac's has 2 locations. That location is my least favorite place to play. the band area is so small there is just no way to set up everything the way you would want. The dance medley that we play last almost 15 minutes! It is the best dance medley of any band I have EVER been in. We also do Wheel In The sky by Journey. The setlist we have are a good general mix of variety music. the bass player sent me a book. It is called The Coverband Book. We have set this band up by the exacting specifications described in that book. The book is a little dated as the music biz has changed a little.

My father in law came down from Alaska to stay with us a couple of weeks and that was the gig he was able to come and see us. He is the one that shot that video with his iphone. We play at other places that are MUCH more conducive to the band setup! We are talking about bringing a video camera to every gig thinking we can get a lot better video.

I do the full Frampton thing as close to note for note as possible. We do a few crossover type country songs as well. Our sound man who edited that video (his first attempt) says that it sounds like there are 6 or 7 musicians up there at times! For those of you that remember the video I posted about 3 years ago (RGMixProject) the guy currently running sound was the keyboard player and rythm guitarist in that video. He prefers to just be our soundman for now!

George, that laser cost almost $2000.00 it is the kind that you see in arena's! Barry had to get special permission or some sort of certification to buy it!

Pretty cool J.

I understand the small venue problems. Man, gig we played in our hometown a few weeks ago, our space was so small... I was so worried someone was going to come along and knock all my guitars down.

Very nice job on the "Lights" solo. Neil is one of my favs. I wish my band did a Journey song just so I could do a Neil solo, but alas we're not that kind of band :)

Thanks Chris! Neal is one of my favs. as well! I was watching the video's of your band the other day VERY nice! That is a worry I also have playing in this place (someone knocking my guitars over) The sad thing is the way the club is set up it is really pretty big but the stage and band area are very small in a corner.

George that is the V3M (amp) I am playing on! You can't see it because all my stuff is behind that speaker column next to me.

Thanks J.

We have loads more songs from that show to put up. I'm hoping to get a lot of it done tonight and tomorrow. Some really cool stuff like Judas Priest and Ozzy. Unfortunately the sound guy kind sucked and on a lot of songs he had my lead guitar down too low; it's hard to hear some of my solos (which is unfortunate that he did that because I have all my leads on a separate boost and all he had to do was set the levels right at the start of the show and leave it alone, but alas, out of our control).

Jeff

I'm currently running a 10mw American DJ Galaxian Sky DMX Laser Effect
It is green shows well with a little ( or a lot LOL ) of fog and required no FDA variance.

( some photos of it at work on our bands Facebook page )

I still would like to purchase the remote control so that I can accurately fit the effect style to the song segments.

In time ...

At any rate seeing just how good you guys are really gives me more pride in your praise and support for our band. :D

Thanks George! The guy's are talking about getting a mister we are currently using fog. From what they are saying the mister works with just water H2O it is easier on the audience, stays in the air for a longer period of time. But Damn them things are EXPENSIVE!
