Shine On Me

Reading all the posts here I realized that there are a lot religious folks here or folks who believe in a higher power. So I sat down today and recorded my very first ever kind of Christian song. “Shine On Me”
Hope you enjoy it and maybe give ya all some good feelings.

Or

Its so bad I should never attempt this again.

Shine On Me

There's a moment that we all come to, when we reach out for the stars.
There's a moment that we all come to in our own time
In my mind
Inside I scream

There's a time that comes in our lives when we look back on what we've done.
There's a time when we realize that we could have changed and made it undone

Save me

Save Them

Shine on me

Shine on me

Reaching out against the wind, reaching out till we can almost touch the stars.
Reaching out till the wind blows us away.

Shine on me

Shine on them

Shine on me

Shine on them

I liked it.

Only thing I would change is that your vocals levels seem too low.

Ideally I'd like another vocal take where you sing a little harder with just slightly more force, but all in all very nice work.

RG , Nice Job.. Love the ethereal feeling in the body of the song.. ;)

There were a couple of fill patterns, (Drums) which I thought could use some heavier toms,. But other than that, I though it was great.

I liked it.
The feel and lyric seems more spiritual than any particular religion to me. Kinda slowly floating... flying off into space. 8)

Cool man, you got it right

I'd like some guitar licks in it,
playing off your words.

I like the turnarounds with the drums.

One of the covers my "band" does is a Collective Soul song called Shine. When I saw the title of this post, that's what I thought it was about :D

Were you born in the barn or just forget to close the doors before you wandered in?

Listening now ...

Yes the vocals could be a little easier to discern ... it is necessary IMO for a song with a " message ".
Then of course I'm not listening on the best of stereo equipment either.

I love the ethereal feel and think the tempo drags a little as a personal preference.

Great job Rich! Overall taken, I'm loving it.

We have a lot of new stuff in the works, hope to make it to studio by February at the latest.
Need a new / full CD for next years "outdoor " season.

I sorta like it. Different, a bit unique. Good recording, musicianship right there. Not a #1 hit that is meant to hit you over the head,,, but definitely a very valid song.
RG you have so much talent, thanks for sharing. Real cool!

RG, I think the drums are too loud, I think the vocals are too subdued, I
think the levels are great, I think bass is too thick, I think the keys are
fantastic, I think the etheral quality was just right.
JUST KIDDING!

I tell you what. What I REALLY like is the awsome undeniable writing style
you have. It is inventive and unique. That is something that is very valueble
in the right hands. I Love all 3 originals you have posted. They left me
wanting more. I am so impressed.[/b]
