I told you folks that I received an injunction vs using the band name "The Starfish". I then switched to "Starfish Paradigm" thinking it was over.
Well, I have a new low now.
I just got an email from an entity that says that they just purchased the web address of "starfishparadigm.com" and it can be mine for some low, low price. LOL (as if, you blood sucking bastards)
Just how many name changes do you have to go through to lose all the lurkers in the blood soaked waters>?

That is really messed up. Counter sue seeking ten million in damages. Just print it up and send it via courier, be careful how you word it, they might just disappear, or like my cousin Louie says,,,, they always disappear when you hire the right man for the job.

There you go.
You know we really had to hustle to beat the thronging crowd to noisykungfu.com
There are some advantages to having an off the wall name.

I have to wonder if the problem is whomever you may be using as a server access?
Forgive my ignorance, I am the trigger man not the geek for our band.
I seem to recall Ray saying that he somehow got direct access and not having to go through a "server service " reduced the chance of parasites.
If you know what I mean

You have become a victim of what we call 'Squatting" in the web world. Believe it or not, there are professional assholes out there who
buy up blocks of domain names (They simply create variation after variation and if its not already registered, they grab it.
Then, they turn around and sell the domain names to the highest bidders (or at fixed exorbitant price).
There is an Association called ICANN which is trying to pass bills about the rules of domain registration... I dunno what luck they have had yet...
The best work aroundn your case, is when you come up with a cool name, register it as a dot com first...If you are successful with that registration , then file a DBA with the county... and also Consider trademarking your name.. That is the ultimate protection.. Cause then you can sue the sh*t out of the assholes who try to use it in a Dot com.

I believe domain squatters made a fortune in the early internet years buying names like Ford.com, att.com, etc. The law should say if you own a dot.com you need to put up the actual website within a few months. When I went to make my business website (woodbright.net) I initially wanted the dot.com which wasn't available. I've bought another dot.com for a new website that I am launching January 1 (hopefully). The dot.com was available for it so I snatched it up. The amount of legal snafus the internet has created and is creating is almost infinite. I'll bet that if my new dot.com becomes extremely successful somebody will get hair-up-butt dsease and sue me. At that point the publicity may be worth the lawsuit. I'm not anticipating anything earth shattering but it could be a nice part-time "job."

Bob don't sweat it, I know you are a helping guy..
I just have to laugh, whoever is trying to squat me on cyberspace is a nuisance.
I am a little tiny starfish in a giant sea and someone is trying to stab me in the wallet.
Couldn't they find someone more (?) to go after?
Echh, is it "beer-thirty" yet? lol

Since I can't PM you on your music page, I'll have to do it here....
That's some cool sounds you are making, Chief Engineer Scott. Rock on!
And yes, it's actually half-past beer thirty.
Shiner Bock's on me...

YOD you a free account as well? (sucks doesn't it?)
(I'd love to take credit for my weird sounds, truth is that I only write my parts and most of the magic of what's going on here is in post production, i.e. see L.A. Long/Les for details)
Yeah, I am one step off the curb at all times or so it feels.
(get the burrito out of meh face) lol ( NO more sour cream)
Don't crack on the box o wine./.
I noticed they got some tasty wine in those boxes and some of the bottles are the worst swill I ever tasted..
(You can't judge a bottle by it's cover) lol
Shiner's Bock? Hmm I think I might go get me a six right now.
I wrote Les again last night and apologized profusely, hoping for a reconciliation.
A drunk afternoon may be just what the Dr. ordered while I await my current fate.
Played with 2 more in the last 2 weeks and they weren't what I call productive, nor brilliant.
Anyone teaching a course on diplomacy? I ought to register if so, cause I am just not cutting the mustard unless you count doing it with a photon torpedo and although there are a slew of folks in the red uniform, the specialty types in blue and/or gold are few and far between.
And you know what happens to the bit part guys in the red/security uniform, right?
(Fraaazzaaaaapp)
We regret to inform you that your son/daughter has been vaporized, there will be a service for them on the shuttle bay before we unceremoniously dump the ashes out the back door. This has been a recording.
Starfleet appreciates your contribution(s) immensely and wishes you well in your time of need.

Oh thank god, Les is amiable to a reconciliation. (thank you god !!!)
Now if I could only get my other buddy to realize I didn't sleep with his stupid, pig of a wife, I'd be 100%.
