When people post on Bandmix, why is it that when you are looking for a certain person that plays a certain instrument that they post that they play all kinds of instruments? If you are a guitarist and that's what you do the best at, why would you put that you play other instruments than you actually do?
All I'm saying is that the less confusion the better! I have contacted certain musicians that post that they play or have played certain instruments and find out that they don't actually do play those certain instruments. If all you do is play one instrument well don't make it more confusing than it really is.

Sux dont it, Ive been trying to master ever instrument listed, but too no avail.

Ignore what the profiles say ... it's truly irrelevant.

Using the search function is most effective if the only thing you pay attention to is the last log in date.
Message everyone and anyone whom has been active in the last 24 hrs.
Check it daily for months and update on any " active " members whom you have not yet messaged.

People know people. People may know the people your looking for.
